My cable interent is slower than normal today, but when i try to get on hotmail it’s virtually non-existant. It keeps hanging and finally tells me that it cant find the server. Is there any program which could speed up my connection to hotmail? Possible by letting me sign on the fastest hotmail server? Thanks guys.

It’s happened to me several times. Last time two weeks ago when I couldn’t get to my account for 3 days via my normal bookmark.) Worked better if I manually entered http://www.hotmail.com directly into Location rather than use my bookmark. Since the problem lasted so long I added a second bookmark. Note the machine names containing something “law” and a number. When you get a different one that works, bookmark it for future reference.
Such problems are so common with hotmail that they don’t even make /. and the like anymore. Not to mention (?) their blocking your outgoing mail when they feel like it, other sites blocking hotmail (and earthlink, and …) email and the “Inter” part of Internet is losing its meaning.
I’ve set myself up with my own mailserver and a dyndns name. With my cable modem connection I’m more reliable than MS. (What a surprise.)
