Smoke Free Anniversary

Just wanted to celebrate my accomplishment with people who were there to encourage me. Today I’m celebrating the one year anniversary of the last cigarette I smoked.

I’m feeling damn good about it too.

For anyone else out there who is contemplating quitting or currently going through nicotine withdrawals, just remember as much as you think it’s not possible or too hard to successfully quit smoking, there’s someone out there who thought the same thing and made it.

Congrats! I just had my 4 year smoke-free anniversary. I never thought I’d be able to do it, either.

Yay us!

Congratulations! I will be 2 years smoke free this Halloween.

I’m at a 1 year 5 months. Stay strong and good job!

Yay us, indeed! Thank you and keep posting successes!

Today is exactly ***THIRTY *** years since my last cigarette. I had completely forgotten until this thread reminded me.

::bows to **panache45 **in awe::

Grats, dude!

Last cig April 2005.

Well done to you all.

last cigarette: 12-27-2005. In the words of Martin Luther King: Free at last, free at last!

Not as long as you guys, January 7th, 2009. 20 weeks tomorrow.

Cheers,
G

Woohoo! Wishing you a lifetime of continued success!

It’ll be ten years this August, after 27 years of about two packs a day. Happily, I don’t even get the occasional desire for a smoke - after a certain amount of time, it really does let go of you completely!

Congratulations! Look at all the money you’re saving too. Never, ever go back. It’s three years and eight months for me.

Congratulations. You made the right move. Check out the price of cigarettes these days and then buy yourself something nice (and non-addictive).

I can’t remember when I gave up “dip” but it was a long hard task. 4th of July I know, maybe 10 years ago? Monkey off back and he ain’t gettin’ back on.
