My sandals. I love my sandals. I bought them a few years back in Freeport, ME at the Rockport outlet. They’re comfy, and adjustable and match everything and even show off my nicely painted toes and toe ring.
Sigh.
I fear this is the last summer for them. The inside is starting to get all worn and cracked and uncomfortable for my feet. The sole is getting worn.
I’ve searched high and low but can’t find another pair like it. I knew I should have bought two while I had the chance. :smack:
Tell ya what for. I make bird houses out of my ole cOwbOy boots. Yep, cut a hole in the side, build a roof thing on it … and hang it. But sandals are a different animal. Give me three or two minutes…No, probably just chunk em and deal with the grief after the Christmas rush at WalleyWorld.
I bought a pair of sandals from Shoe Carnival a little over a month ago. Today the strap that goes in between the big toe broke. There is no way to fix it. I think I might take them back (even though I don’t have the receipt) and see if they will replace them. What do you think? Do you think they will?
(sniff) It is hard to see a good pair of shoes die.
Absolutely, I would. Did you charge them? You could take your credit card statement in if you have that.
My sandals are like 3 years old but for Rockports, and sandals I don’t wear EVERY day, you’d think they’d last longer.
Heck, I remember when those criss cross sandals were first bout…the ones by Bass. I was in HS and my father refused to pay for them because they were $38 and way too much money (it was like 20+years ago). So I had to save my babysitting money … I got $1/hour.
I did and bought them. You know those sandals lasted me about 15 years or more. Even after they were to ick to wear, I saved them so I could show them to my father everyt ime I saw him.
