I grew up thinking I was left-handed until I broke my left hand when I was 16 and discovered that I could write right-handed as well, (or as badly) as I could left-handed, but not as fast.
Now, when asked, I tell people I’m bi-dextrous. Anything that doesn’t require specific ‘handed’ equipment I usually do with either hand, but slightly better with my left, except throwing a ball, which I do much better left-handed. Activities requiring ‘handed’ equipment, golf, pool, etc, I do right-handed.
I’m also the only leftie in my family, and no really glaring eccentricities that I know of. I’ve never been able to work left-handed scissors though, which would really come in handy while making my tinfoil underwear.
