So, cnn.com says the world's just going to hell in a handbasket

I went to cnn.com tonight to check on the news, and what do I find?

“Conflicts rage across the globe,” says the headline. The main story is: “Civil war. Mutilations. Nuclear proliferation. Human trafficking. Those are some of the seeds and fruits of conflicts around the globe.”

This is their main story–it just seems kinda strange and depressing is all. Cnn.com, to my mind, is usually so focused that it’s so strange to see some general “things are bad” story.

Wow. Have a good night, everyone. I understand the need to keep people informed of what’s going on in the world, but I guess they must have run out of “breaking news” to run on the top of my browser in a big red box. Now they’ve just resorted to “the world is going to sh*t. Details at 11.”

:frowning:

Yeah, I saw that too. Remember this is the same outfit that releases, every year, their Christmas issue of Time magazine that always seem to have big, blazing questions like “Is the Bible a Myth”, “Was Jesus Real?” and shiite like that. I’m not much of a Christian, but that sort of ill-timed, mean-spiritedness kinda pisses me off.

Personally, I think I liked that main story better than the one they’ve got up now.

Word, SC_Wolf. I was actually kinda hoping nobody would bump this because it just sounds silly now.
