So did Donald Eugene Ivens ever materialise? (Follow-up to "found wallet from the 70's" thread)

I recently found a gold watch stuffed in a crack in the crawlspace wall. It was a retirement gift from 1971 and belonged to the former owner of the house according to the inscription.

He’s been dead for 10 years but I traced his family through internet sleuthing and got a hold of them on Facebook. I sent the watch back to his family just this week.

I too was curious about how it ended up there. It turns out that he was paranoid in his later years so he must have stashed it there. When I get some time I’m going to open that wall up some more and see if there’s anything else in there.

Sorry I’m so late to this. Not reading as often as I used to. Naughty me!

You know, if the media comes to me (which I seriously doubt will happen), I’ll consider it then. But I’m not going after them at this point. The mystery is solved, everything except WHY it ended up in the wall.

Be careful, you may find what he was paranoid about… or worse, IT may find YOU.

I’m really hoping Brenhen gets back to us with DEI’s explanation regarding the wallet.

When people tear into the walls of our house, they will find: one hammer, at least two screwdrivers, a pair of kitchen tongs and a pair of pliers. All in the same wall. We had some trouble pulling wire.
Oh, and the stuff we put, on purpose, behind the giant mirror in the bathroom. There’s a picture of the bathroom before we remodeled, pictures of us and one of the people we bought it from, and some pretty polished rocks.
