So do a lot of dental patients act badly?

Technically, they don’t use Novocaine (procaine) for this any more, but it’s become like Kleenex or Band-Aids in that a brand name has become part of the general language.

One time, I had some extensive work and the dentist said she used articaine, which I had never heard of but she told me it was longer-acting. And she wasn’t kidding; I got the injection around 9am and it didn’t wear off until well into the afternoon!

I think i usually get lidocaine, when i get anything at all.
