So I got an A today

Congrats!

I was at two colleges yesterday- the one where I work and the one where I went- and it was grade day at both places. It reminded me so much of the “Gettysburg roster” scene from Gone With the Wind (except it was students checking grades with cellphones rather than from the coded grade postings on the doors from “my day”).

Annnnnnd… just what did we have to do to get all these "A"s? :dubious:

Hard work :stuck_out_tongue:

I made an A, too! (Mine was in Nursing Care III) Let’s hear it for all the A students!

I heard basketweaving got to be too easy so now it is underwater basketweaving.

Congrats!

I join the happy “A” students, having gotten my final grade yesterday for ENGL 611 Studies in Rhetoric: Rhetorics, Ecologies, and Networks.

In addition to finishing the semester I have also now officially finished my graduate coursework, and my final GPA is 3.82. Not quite an “A,” but close enough for me! All that’s left now is my thesis.

Do you get a free hamburger at McD’s?

I got an “A” in my Java I class - basically a 1st semester comp sci class using Java. Since I’ve been programming many years in C/C++ it wasn’t a very difficult class.

Brian

I got an A too. Mine was rather unexpected, since I B’ed out on my first two exams. I was already telling people that I’d made a B. I must have really turned it around on the paper and the final.

Mine was Comparative Animal Physiology, by the way.

Congratulations!

Ooh, ooh, I’m included! I got an A in Cataloging!

I made a few simple baskets in 8th grade. Making a nice basket takes practice, but the basics are pretty easy.

Yes, equivalent to senior seminar. I ask because my daughter just finished hers in American History. And got an A on it, too. Must be a good year for History majors. She won’t be graduating yet, though, because she still has requirements to finish for Sociology.
Congrats again.

I always took it as meaning it’s a waste of time because it doesn’t make you more hireable (generally) or move you closer to your degree.

Underwater Basketweaving, on the other hand…

Yeah, but you have to use the blood of cheerleaders. It’s a little difficult to get the stuff as you get older.

Two As and two Bs for me this semester, BTW. I’m a little disappointed with one of my Bs, but the other one is OK–Spanish III was hard. (Relatively speaking.)

I’m trying to learn Python on my own again, so hopefully I have as much luck. I’ve never done much “real programming”, just a little bit of robotics stuff in C++ and a lot of object-oriented scripting in some pretty stripped-down GCSes back in the day.
