Getting back to FBDO, the movie never clicked for me. We’re told that everyone likes Ferris, but he’s depicted as such a smarmy manipulator that I never bought into his universal popularity. His adventures bored me – a parade where someone sings Danke Schoen is supposed to be appealing to teens? And then the big shift in tone and pacing in the odometer scene was just too jarring.
I did like Charlie Sheen’s appearance.
But Data couldn’t look like a car.
Despite being a Wheeler.
I liked the scene in Star Trek where Kirk tried to roll the odometer back on the Enterprise.
Yeah. When it didn’t work Scotty kicked out the jack and it flew backwards into a star.
Naw, it just changed the laws of physics, proving Scotty wrong.
