I guess I’m getting old. The anterior uveitis I had at Christmas appears to have affected one of my eyes so I have a new prescription. And this time it’s sufficiently large that I benefit from varifocal lenses. It’s an interesting experience seeing things change as I move my head.
Welcome to the aging club. You’ll stop noticing the changing view in about a week, if that long.
Do they look like this?
You are completely horrible and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter!
I’ve had them for about 18 months now. Before that I was up to 3 different pairs of glasses, one for reading close up, one for seeing computer screens at arms length, and one for seeing the rest of the world. One tip the optician gave me was to look straight down at your feet when going up and down stairs so that you’re looking through the distance portion instead of the close work portion. I also keep my old distance glasses handy for when I’m lying flat on the sofa watching telly.
I’ve been wearing them for 15 years. What’s weird is on the rare occasions I don’t have them on my face, I’ll still move my head to adjust my focus. It doesn’t work without the specs…
