Who’s in the driver’s seat here? What does God need to prove? This is not how the Lord of the universe works normally, though there are exceptions (Saul/Paul). He is the Lord, we rightfully should obey Him and serve Him. If you had a earthly king, and ordered him to reveal him self to you personally, you would be lucky to get a generic ‘thank you for you note’ card mailed in response.
If you are skeptical in your belief that He is Lord why does He have to prove Himself in His glory to you, again He can do it and occasionally does, but why, what authority do you have to command Him to do anything.
For many we come to God when we are at the end of ourselves, when we admit that all our ways, even our best efforts mean nothing, and we are willing to accept on faith that God is Lord.
After which God starts to reveal Himself, as you are no longer a slave, but His child.

You’ve got it backwards. God is the one commanding me to believe in him. That he doesn’t put even the smallest amount of effort into convincing me (although it is obviously very important to him) is a failure on his part, not mine. I’m quite content to disbelieve until Mr. Omnipotent stops being bashful and comes out of hiding.
