I would attempt to mock you in a humorous fashion, but I have been reprimanded for mocking. So, it turns out I had another thing coming. That thing was a time out, sitting quietly in my room thinking about what I have done wrong. *So the thing I had coming was a think. * Is your mind blown?
Bah! Every time I hear this expression, I want to punch somebody. I was born in SC, and was mostly raised in northeastern IL in the 80s. Everybody around me always said “another thing coming.” I’ve spent most of my life thinking that everybody in the world was wrong about that. Still do.
