So I'm going to start a _______ business

I’ve been trying to come up with ideas for a low overhead high profit business that I could start. I’m sick of working for other people and would like to have a shot at something myself. Eventually I would love to have my own retail store but for now I’ll settle for anything as long as I can call the shots.

So anyone got any ideas? I’m willing to give you a piece of the action.

Low overhead, high profit? Sounds like a brokerage business. There are all kinds of brokers, but basically you’re putting buyers & sellers together in markets with hard-to-find commodities. A real estate broker is perhaps the best-known example, but there are all kinds of specialty brokers for scrap iron, used equipment, food products. A guy I know made a good living for over 20 years brokering used IBM unit record equipment (IBM punch card machines) after IBM went all-electronic. There was still substantial demand from the Social Security Administration and other government agencies addicted to punch card systems.

I once tried to start a fertilizer-enhanment business . . .

. . . but I could only poop so much during the week.
