IMHO, do it at home. If you have a partner/husband ask for his assistance. Whether you wax, shave or use a cream, it’s good fun having a “helper” to get to some of the more "hard-to-get-at places.
Make sure the salon’s idea of a Brazilian and your idea of one are the same! When I went for my first one I never dreamed there are different “degrees” of them, so I just asked if they did brazilian waxes. I get there and they do the wax but it turns out their idea of a brazilian was a basic bikini wax & taking some off the top. When I told them I wanted it ALL removed they told me (very snottily too I may add) that they didn’t do that kind of wax. I was pissed to say the least. This was an upscale salon as well… so make it very clear before you go what exactly you want waxed because they might not do it!
I’ve been wanting to get a brazilian wax for years (I know that my husband would love it), but I’m too embarrassed to schedule one. I don’t even like taking off my shirt to have my arms waxed (I get the full arms done), so I can’t picture taking everything off for a stranger. Maybe it’s because I never see anyone else getting anything other than their hair done. Is there a way to find somewhere they do twenty of these waxings a day so that I can fade into the crowd?
