Hear, hear.
I like spiders, too. (They scared me when I was a little kid; now I know better. )
Once I learned that these eight-legged critters eat flies and other pests, my attitude toward them improved. I once even watched a spider eat a fly! Eccch. As a gardener, I always asked my customers to leave their spiders be, because of their taste in hunting.
One year, near Halloween, I zwas in line behind a man and his little daughter. She was looking at a display of spider-print decorations.
I said, “Spiders are good guys.”
She said, “I’m scared of them.”
I answered, “They might be scared of you.”
Thanks for “a ode.” If you look upthread you’ll note that I already watched a spider do that once.
Better the gross sight of a spider dining on choice flies than flies swarming in your home, hmmmmmm?
Awwwww…that’s not nice. If you’re close enough to give that spider a name you shouldn’t yell at her. Chide her a little. You don’t want her to bad mouth you to her fellow spiders.
