Actually, I’ll only be gone for a month - off to Africa again. I certainly have the world’s weirdest job. The office calls be at 7 this morning “Are you free to travel tomorrow?”
“Sure, I’ve been sat on my ass for the last six weeks waiting for you to call”
“OK, we’ll just book your ticket”
So, I might not be posting for the next four weeks. Have fun without me 
North? Central? South? East? West? Madagascar? Any particular parts or combinations of? There’s an awful lot of there, there. Say hello to the Serengeti for me, if you are out there.
And what kind of job do you have where you can take off on a moment’s notice? And how can I get in on this?
And would you bring me back a keychain?
(Just kidding, I already have one from South Africa - it’s a wire lizard with tiny faux gemstones wrapped in for eyes and the body. Pretty thing.)

Actuall, I am in West Africa, but in Gabon, where Mr. Wemba and company aren’t particularly nuerous. There is one slight problem being in Gabon: my oil rig is in Guinea Bisseau. Which is a diiferent country. Which is a bit of a problem.
Not for me though - I just have to sit here and drink beer 
ps I can verify thqt Mt. Kilimanjaro dose rise frok the Serengeti - at least the last time I looked.
So how do you like Gabon? Are you hanging out in Libreville, POG, or somewhere else?
(I could understand your oil rig being in Equatorial Guinea, but Guinea-Bissau seems a bit of a stretch.)

I like it here in POG. Nice and quiet, good food. As for the beer, it has to be Regab.
Actually, Regab is my beer of choice too - except when I think another one of those big bottles might be overdoing it just a little. (In my line of work, I usually have to get up at 5 AM.)
I haven’t spent any time in POG. Most of my time has been in Gamba, Rabi, or camped in the bush further afield (Petit Loango and a swamp near Mt. Doudou). Even quieter, except for the elephants.
