So, someone crashed into three cars on our street in a hit-and-run

The car that crashed looked to me like a generic white sedan. Was it something unique?

Well, certainly after the collision(s).

D’oh. Thank you.

I saw the still preview in the OP’s vid cite and thought that was the hit-and-run vehicle. The white one with black doors. And seems to be a Mercedes although might be a Nissan. And is lowered and as blackout windows. Blackout windows are very common here where I am. May be where you are too. Looking at the cars along the OP’s street, evidently they’re not where he is.

Anyhow, as you indirectly tell me, the car that gets all the publicity in that vid is an innocent bystander. the car doing al the damage comes later, and is ordinary.

Thanks for the tip.

As ASL just said, it got custom crunching and paint transfer which helps the cops pick it out of a crowd; may well be leaking too. But that wasn’t my main (erroneous) point.

Heh, my old house was on a street that had its own exit off the freeway. If my neighbors across the street parked a car on the street, its days were numbered. Over seventeen years there, I guess we probably had eight cars get hit. If we got a new neighbor and they parked a car on the street, I’d ask them “How quickly do you want to replace that car?” Most of them opted to no longer park on the street.

The thing that most amazes me in the OP’s clip is: we hear the tires lock up well before they enter the frame. I wonder how fast they were going when they locked them up.
