So wait...those websites that split up features into different pages do it just for the page views?

I’m talking about when websites have those lists that are like “Top 10 Most Awesome Pictures of Titties” and they make you navigate through ten different pages to see them all. You’re telling me they could have them all on one page but choose not to?

I’ve always assumed they do it so you load something ten times, and the ads get displayed ten times as often?

I’ve always assumed they do it so they can track how many people actually read the whole thing. I was under the impression that internet ads only pay per click nowadays, but I definitely could be wrong.

I was surfing around for an actor’s name yesterday and found this site that has “108 ‘Lost’ Characters You Need To Know” on 108 separate pages.

I don’t think so. Most of these that I’ve seen only change the list thingie (sometimes a flash app or some sort of javascript or whatever the cool kids are using these days) and don’t reload the whole page.
