It was cloudy and hazy here when I woke up, but it cleared up by 10 or so.
So I suppose my local weather depends on whether the local groundhog is an early riser or not.
I hope he wasn’t out carousing last night.

I don’t know about real early this morning, but about 9:15 or so, as we drove to church, the sun was shining brightly.
Considering how beastly cold January was, six more weeks of this crap will seem like six months.
Brrrr!
Gray, cold and non-sunny here.
YAY! Early spring.
Of course, the chances of it being anything else BUT gray, cold and non-sunny here on 2/2 are slim at best.
It was sunny here, which of course, according to folklore, means we’re in for six more weeks of winter.
Only problem is we haven’t even had much of a winter here to begin with this season, more like an extended autumn, but without all the pretty colorful leaves for most of it. The ski areas around here barely have enough snow to stay open and there won’t be enough of a runoff from the snowpack to provide water for farmers and summer recreation. This past winter has really sucked, contrary to what my family and friends may say about it being so mild.
pux. phil saw shadow.
buckeye chuck no shadow.
general lee no shadow.
that would be early spring in ohio and georgia, late winter for pennsylvania.
It grabs its crotch, says “EAT ME!”, and crawls back in its burrow.
If the groundhog sees his shadow, it means six more weeks of winter.
If he doesn’t see his shadow, it means a month and a half more.
How much ground round would a ground hog hog if a ground hog would hog ground round?
A friend of mine has a pet groundhog. He says it’s currently in hibernation mode, and didn’t even come out of its box today, so I’d say I can safely assume he didn’t see his shadow.
It was sunny here this morning, and my ground hog was angry. Apparently, he had a hangover.
