After this thread I’ve changed from Messenger to Trillian, but now every time I load up Outlook to check my e-mail it loads up MSN Messenger, so now I need to change my e-mail client.
So what (non Outlook) programmes do you use?
Thanks in advance.

I disabled Messenger by simply renaming the folder the executable was in. Windows just can’t find it now.
At home I use Trillian for new mail notification on Hotmail and Yahoo!, but I don’t use it for checking mail as it sends passwords in clear text (at least, it does for Yahoo! mail). I just stick to plain old webmail at home.
At work it’s the corporate standard Lotus Notes 5, which I quite like although it’s not as customisable as I’d prefer. We’re switching to some flavour of Outlook soon, which will keep the tech services department busy with patches and viruses, no doubt.
Opera.
Eudora.
Another vote for Eudora, both on my work PC and home Mac.
Also Eudora, though away from my computer I use my university’s web email system.
Yet another satisfied Eudora user. I use it on a multi-boot system (MacOS 8.6, 9, and OS X).
I’ve also switched my girlfriend over to Eudora for Windows to get her off AOL.
Eudora. Been using it since 1994. I love it.
Is Eudora still being supported? I wonder since there hasn’t been an update in a long while. It is my main email for the most part, and I’d like to see it stick around.
Eudora here as well. Been using for 5 or six years at least. We also run our own mail server using Qualcomm’s Worldmail. Both good products.
Eudora is still supported, although there haven’t been a bunch of updates recently. The current version is 5.1 (I’m running 5.0 myself, just haven’t upgraded). Check this link:
Ugly
I suspect that a lot of QualComm’s (apparently tiny) developer staff’s energies and attention have been taken up by creating a MacOS X version that they can stop callling “beta”. (Less than 2 months ago, I think).
pine. All you need.
Mozilla, and the mail client in PHProjekt.
Eudora all the way. I use it at work, got a copy from my university, and will definitely pay for it if it ever comes to that. It’s highly customizable and has lots of powerful tools that just don’t turn up in many other programs. It’s virtually bug-free too.
Another happy Eudora user. Great features, and nobody seems to write viruses for it. I just installed it on the fiance’s computer, and he’s real happy with it so far too.
Mac user.
Used to use Eudora Lite…now use Claris Emailer at home (even though it’s no longer supported…doesn’t do HTML… yaddad yadda), mainly because I just have never had a good reason to switch, and I’m just used to the interface.
At work, I use Outlook Express

You got it, baby!
Eudora.
:wally
Activatormail.com free 2 meg email…don’t need a client to read it, its HTML. Scans the crap out
of any incoming email for viruses or what not.
I use Eudora, and have used it for years. Before that I used Pegasus for a short while.
You couldn’t pay me to use Outlook.
