Well, I will admit the fear of fire/explosion is another reason I was happy to change back to charcoal…every time I’d press that button to fire up the grill I’d involuntarily take a step back, fearing the big boom. Add in running out of gas halfway through cooking, and something I read about spiders building nests in the tubes, causing explosions, and we went back. We just got a really nice new charcoal grill last fall after using a Weber for years. I can pull the ash pan out with a handle, it is really easy to clean. And the grill can be adjusted to different heights over the coals, and the vents are easier to open/close too. It truly rocks.
