Diet sodas of all types seem to be in short supply. Rumored to be supply chain issues from China.

For that I can happily do without Coke Zero.
I haven’t been able to get ham lunchmeat in my last three Kroger pickups. I allow substitution of my first choice so apparently there is none to be had. This pickup I didn’t get ranch dressing. Again, I allowed substitution so there must not be any of the multiple brands they carry. I haven’t been inside Kroger since March and it makes me curious how things look in there.
Can’t get ham lunch meat either-and turkey lunch meat only some of the time. Basically only one flavor of Coke Zero. Non-boring flavors of yogurt no where to be found. Pepperidge Farm cookie varieties also hit or miss.
I am also seeing a shortage of diet soda. In my case it is Diet Cherry Pepsi which I have been drinking out of bottles for at least 20 years.
I have gone a month without being able to find it in the grocery store. Oddly, I was able to find single bottles at convenience stores along the road recently.
I have been able to locate the larger 2 L bottles most of the time but it goes flat before I drink it all.
I guess we are all experiencing some form of soda shortage.
Not really a burden. But when you are tied to your house and work it is the little pleasures that seem to matter more.
I’m experimenting with other flavors even the regular/non diet kinds although I don’t really like the taste.
Diet A&W root beer is good and almost always available.
I hope this is not a shortage I’m personally seeing –
My printer broke. I need a printer. I ordered a printer from Staples, free delivery says the web page.
The web page also said, when I was in process of placing the order, that expected delivery date was Friday. After I’d actually placed the order, it had magically changed itself to today, Monday. Printer not having shown up, I went looking for a tracking number; and realized that the confirmation email didn’t have a tracking number, but said instead ‘we’ll email you when it’s shipped’ – and I haven’t got an email saying it’s been shipped. Plus which, the confirmation email, for an order that was advertized as being deliverable by Friday but which switched upon payment to Monday, said delivery was expected neither Friday nor Monday but Wednesday.
I am now wondering whether they’ve actually got the thing, or whether they just sold me something they don’t have. And I still need a printer. I wish the relatively local brick-and-mortar had had one in stock that I wanted; they said they were having trouble getting them, and only had three, two with no scanner and the third out of my price range. But at least if they say it’s in stock, it’s in stock.
I’ve noticed a distinct lack of some cuts of meat that I like when I get the urge to fire up the grill or smoker.
I went to the supermarket deli this evening to pick up a couple of sandwiches (because it’s too hot to cook tonight), and the deli was closed, with a sign saying it’s being sanitized due to a possible exposure. No explanation as to what or who was exposed.
Costco still carries 20- (or 25?) lb bags of dried pinto beans, but the grocery store has a meagre supply of any dried beans on the shelf and is limiting purchase to 2 packages of 1 lb.
Got that right! Where are my Pepperidge Farm Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies?
I remember when this first started in March/April, I’d check out the dried legume aisle, and maybe they’d have a single bag of some mixed bean soup. Lately, what I’ve seen is that of the four legumes I usually buy dried - pintos, black beans, lentils, and chickpeas - they’ll have 2-3 of them. Though I admit it’s been a few weeks since I’ve checked. Has it gotten worse lately, in your estimation?
I could actually understand the Coumadin - as there’s growing evidence that Covid causes clotting issues and coumadin is a blood thinner.
Duragesic? No clue.
I’ve had relatively little trouble getting the legumes by mail (North Bay Trading and Nuts.com). We haven’t ordered any in the past month or more since we now have plenty on hand.
Soda: Giant (formerly Peapod) did not have the 2 liter sodas available per my last order with them. Not Diet Sprite / Sprite Zero, anyway. Strange.
Old Bay Seasoning. Been to 3 stores that are out of it. I have a lead that Target might have a few cans…
That’s pretty much what I saw the last couple of times I went out - 2-3 of each.
Mostly my patience at this point.
Same here. I am SO over this damn pandemic and this damn year.
First world problems I know, but boat parts are pretty scarce. Mine’s been laid up for 3 months waiting on parts, and there’s still one vital piece on backorder. Marina says many are made in Mexico and they’re having their own Covid interruptions which affect supply.
Also, our dishwasher failed, and the specific pump for it was subject to the same Mexico-related supply issues (at least according to the appliance repair guy). Just got it fixed after a month.
So, I’ve had to suffer not having a boat, and washing dishes by hand. 2020 is dreadful, I tells ya.
If you mean the Captiva cookies, I’m eating one now…
The dried legumes are still in short supply around here. They restock the shelves but they’ll be gone quickly. Real whipped cream has been hard to find. You know, the kind that evolved naturally to come in cans. I’ve had to resort to making a fake version using cream and powdered sugar.
