I remember using a friend’s hand cream in the late 80’s. She was always going on about it and pushing me to try it. So I finally did, hated the smell, and said something vaguely thankful and complimentary. Then she said [Valley Girl voice] “It works so well because it contains Human Placental Extract!!!” [/Valley Girl voice]
Ewwwww! I ran to the sink to scrub it off my hands while trying not to vomit. It was “the” ingredient for cosmetics for a couple of years. Disgusting!
