On the Linux partition in a folder called “Dell” --> “Drivers”. I don’t think there is a person alive who would be bored enough to go looking there.
Ooh, drivers! Got a driver for a GeForce 9600 GT?
ummm…see post # 54.
I use the hidden Administrator account in Windows XP to do all my porn, so that it doesn’t show up in any of the histories, recent files opened, or anything like that. The files I have on my HD aren’t hidden, just in a sub folder called MEDIA/PORN.
I just don’t want anyone stumbling on something by mistake, last thing I want is to explain something to my friends if they go to recent documents.
I actually keep mine in my nethack directory, cleverly labeled “New Folder.”
I’m just not into furry porn. I’m rarely into porn at all, but when I am I want humans. I know I could find it if I wanted it, but it usually just seems awkward and silly.
Encrypted disk image on an external drive in a directory you wouldn’t be messing with if you were looking for anything interesting, that also contains other encrypted disk images. I don’t really have to be careful with it since hiding it from my wife’s casual perusal would be enough, but I figured if I was going to do it I might as well do it right.
Let’s see… on my computers, in the Porn folders with subfolders for movies and stills. Further subfolders divide those into categories or into performers, the best are shortcutted onto the desktop. On DVD, they usually sit either in my bookshelf, or coffee table, or on the TV table, depending on where I left them last.
I’ve also set up a separate user account for porn, and my prepared explanation for the extra account is “gaming”, i.e. a user account that is “stripped down” to free up as many resources as possible for gaming. The other benefit of a separate account, obviously, is that there are no incriminating bookmarks or History entries in the browsers under the main account.
On top of that, everything gets saved to an external HD, so that if my computer needs to to the shop, the porn doesn’t go with it.
It’s also helpful being a Mac user - the other people who might gain access to my computer are Windows users (and fairly “tech illiterate” ones at that), so they probably couldn’t figure out how to poke through my files anyway. My login screen is also set up to simply ask for a username and password, rather than showing a list of accounts, so it’s not immediately obvious there is more than one account on my Mac.
The biggest benefit, to my mind, is that you can lock the shit out of its privileges, eliminating all local administrative functions and closing all the security loopholes, to increase safety when browsing adult sites, which tend to be a major vector for delivery of malware. With a seriously stupidified user account, a lot of the bad stuff is prevented from executing itself, accessing the disk, or whatever.
For browsing, I run Opera with all privacy options enabled. No trail left behind. Plus I believe through obscurity Opera would be safer than Firefox, and much much (x 100) safer than IE.
I have a couple of duffel bags under the bed filled with videos and toys.
I’m not into it anymore and haven’t opened the bags for several years but I really don’t know how to throw it away, I can’t imagine putting it in the trash bins in my apartment building.
I’m old, my porn predates the internet for the most part.
Fortunately, I’m already protected for the most part by being a Mac user. I’ve never encountered anything suspicious on “legitimate”, well-established sites like nubiles.net, but I’ve come across many of those TGP sites that, as soon as I access the page, an alert box pops up that says something like, “Your computer is not Win32 compatible!” No, no it’s not, and I suppose that’s a good thing in this case.
Sicko. But if you’re into some feisty nubile ATI Radeon action, I can hook you up.
So I’m the only one here with a couple boxes of magazines in the closet? I mean, I have some stuff on my computers (in a folder called “stuff”), but I still prefer doing it in bed, most of the time.
(Although I have to say that the 58-inch plasma I added to my home theater system last month does a great job of displaying some of my favorite “stuff” from the computer.)
That’s what laptops are for, silly!
Hostile Dialect,
Hostile Dialect, Narcissist
My files are so disorganized I have trouble finding the porn I download so I have given up on it completely. I just watch the online stuff… Plus, the internet porn is so easy to come by now there is really no need to download it. There are millions of free videos out there. I don’t see a point in even having them on my computer.
F:\prawn. Other than that, no other organization.
Used to, but the combination of a couple non-hip girlfriends and just the fact the stuff was sitting in there waiting to be found drove me to dispose of my collection. Did I mention that some of the porn in my closet was homemade videos from a previous girlfriend?
If you wanna do it in bed, that’s what laptops are for!
Yup. Desktop>Macintosh HD>untitled folder
