So...where's the goat?

Roma, here’s a SDMB goat for you.

Welcome.

Heh. Just be glad there’s no Robo-goat. Or any other robo-creatures.

By the way, who’s got the calamari?

EvilAsh, ass size in my family varies from large to larger, excluding one aunt whop i swear could be a runway model. No one is sure where she came from. She lives in Chicago, though, so we don’t worry much.
Kendraen Ideals, yes, teenage girls do suck. I have many girl friends, but it’s kind of a survival thing. I’m too good-looking to be an outcast. :stuck_out_tongue: Teenage boys can be annoying, too, but I know a few good ones. I have a few very close guy friends, and one who I can tell almost anything. I used to have two who I could tell almost anything, but I had a…messy break-up.
Risk sounds kinda fun…and I am *always * up for calimari. Yum!
I’m going to pay up just as soon as I find myself at the computer at a time when my mom is actually awake. She doesn’t like me to use her credit card without her knowledge for things over $10, and, anyway I changed our PayPal password and forgot it. :smack:

Personally, I prefer gembocks. And Amber Bock.

Mmm…beer.

[hijack] This reminded me of one of the military boardgames I played many years ago. It was a WW3 game with NATO forces defending Europe against a Soviet invasion. The game designer had included the option for a player to escalate from conventional warfare to the use of nuclear weapons. If you chose this option, the rules instructed you to cover the game board and counters with lighter fluid and drop a match on it. A pretty good simulation of the effect of nuclear war on such a conflict, I always thought. [/hijack]

I guess I missed the board game playing requirement of childhood. The only one I’ve ever played is Scrabble. This must be the root of all my deep-seated emotional issues. :frowning: Actually, I think I have a French cousin who’s into WWII board games. (Hmmm…he can’t be very good. )

Ha. And I’m too loud to be friendless.* Boldness attracts people, I think. At least in RL, I’m more of a lurker here. If you’ve got the maturity to survive catty high school girls and jerkish guys (hey, both genders suck equally; catty girls just tend to travel in groups), then I think you’re mature enough for the SDMB. You’ve probably noticed maturity isn’t the highest priority here (that’s more like a sense of humor, fighting the fight against ignorance blahblahblah, the ability to rant well in the pit, cite?, and in some cases the ability to quote random cult classics at length.)

And Scrabble is the best board game ever. Besides Monopoly, with its inherent cheating.

  • Hi, I’m Mia, and I’m a teenage girl. Do you hate me? :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi ROMA ! I like you - you’re cute and funny. I have a daughter that’s probably about your age; she is 16. I mostly irritate her, though. It’s my job - I’m her mom.

Better go now. The puppy just pooped on the rug.
Hugs,
me

I considered mentioning Scrabble in lieu of Risk, but in view of the fact that you did say you like spelling things correctly, I didn’t think I could claim you hadn’t suggested a position on it.

Scrabble rocks.

There’s an old Portuguese saying that’s relevant to the OP:

Where there is a goat, there’s also a squid? I’m going to go google that now, since I know NO PORTUGESE!

Hey, you bum! Google says that it’s not a popular Portugese saying.

There’s a popular American saying, “Don’t believe everything you read.”

It means “He who demands a goat, will receive a squid.” And I just made it up. PH33R MY L33T 3P1GR4PH1C SK177Z!!

Heh, unfortunately, exiger means the same thing in French, and I still didn’t get it.

Hey, I’ve played Risk!(and Scrabble!) I like them both, but Risk takes too long and I never get any good letters in Scrabble. Hmph.

I am a teenager, but I’m not a girl.

[QUOTE=RomaI’ve been a lurker/briefly a member (before the Dope went to paid subscriptions) here for years. So what do you need to know? I’m a girl, teenager. On the younger side of teenagerdom, to be perfectly honest.[/QUOTE]
How old were you when you started here?

If you’ve posted before, you’ve already had your guest period. I’m going to suspend you. Once you’ve paid up, email me at hotmail.com, and I’ll lift the suspension.

Til then, this thread is closed.
