Fortunately there is a huge backlog of news and jokes to be made. It will be fairly easy in the beginning.
NPR just aired an interview with the strike captain of Letterman’s writers. He says that the deal they struck with Letterman (since Letterman, and not CBS owns the show) were what the WGA had wanted. This, I think, will start to cause “the suits” to begin to fold, as this is the same pattern which happened during the last WGA strike. He also doesn’t seem to bear any ill-will towards Leno and the others who’re going back to work.
