How YOU doin’?
You might have gotto look at them… bUt when I was there, they all came to Leonard for a good time… I was the lucky one.
Magayuk Silver and Red? No purple hair at the pole?
Purple FROSH?
Next you’ll be telling them to put on their jackets before Christmas!
We weren’t allowed gentian violet until the McGill game. Thems the rules.
We used to get baptized in bath tubs of gentian violet Curious, crawl on hands and knees around the parking lot and up the stairs to Clark, kiss the golden tit (old speed bump by Clark/Bookstore) and elephant walk while hurling abuse at Arts and Comm students. On the upside we hung out with the nurses. Now that I’ve dated myself I hobble off.
We had to do the crawl as well, but all we got was a lousy t-shirt and a tam, there were no pretty colours until after we ‘mounted the greased pole’.
I didn’t attend Queen’s but I got drunk many, many, many times there with my friends who did.
What, you mean Kingston isn’t always blurry and swaying and buried in snow?
I remember taking the M3 to the Poingnant Tiger and shackling pheasants to the sideboards. Those were some shenanigans.
Yes. Arts/Sci 98. Although I must admit I don’t know any words to Oil Thigh. I never was much for school spirit. Maybe it’s because I went part time for all but my last year. I also never set foot in Alfies - I do miss GW though.
Anyone remember Dollar Bills? Damn it I’m doing it again.
Yep, although I remember it more from my High School years than University. It used to be the easiest place to get in to underage.
Neither.
Now go read your location caption and try to grow a sense of humor.
From what I’ve heard, some things have changed since you old folks left…
For one Alfie’s is a lot different. I heard it used to have picnic benches or something like that inside and was a really cool hangout place… now it has a much more “club” atmosphere. Clark Hall was recently renovated and looks really nice now (luckily the headrests above the urinals are still there).
Leonard is now half-coed… So Leonard west is normal and Leonard east is the same old sausage-fest.
Somethings that still stayed the same: Ban Righ still sucks like a Hoover…
Fire alarms!! This past year they were malfunctioning in Vic so we had at least 2-3 every week for the entire winter without fail.
I think that’s how they are supposed to function.
I remember one night standing outside in basically a bra and a pair of shorts for over an hour before they would let us back in Brock. Middle of winter in this slushy goop.
You mean fire alarms can last less than an hour?
I’d prefer slushy goop over -20 degree weather. But after the first two weeks they started letting us into Stirling while we waited.
That was nice of em, they wouldn’t let us into Morris.
I had a friend who was in Victoria Hall (I think??, the big one) that one looked pretty good, I don’t think she ever had to stand outside in her underwear.
Oh, you children. I’m too old to have experienced that!
What’s the Sport of Kings?
Queen’s! Queen’s! Queen’s!
Ye Gads. And here I thought after reading the OP, this was one of those threads where little moderator attention was necessary.
Could you tone it down a notch or two, Zenster? Looks like CuriousCanuck didn’t get your joke. Hardly something to rake someone over the coals about. Especially not in this forum, as you undoubtedly know.
Thanks Coldfire. There were TWO ways to take his pun. One nice and one not so nice. And considering the source…
Anyway… since this is in MPSIMS and it is a thread about the greatest university in the universe…
Get out your ol’ Queen’s sweater, the dirtier the better.
And we’ll all have another pint of beer
MORE BEER!
Cause it’s not for the knowledge that we go to the college
But to raise hell all the year!
