Well they took away our whiskey, they took away our rye,
And they took away our late leaves too
BOOHOO!
But we thank the lord above us that we still have girls who love us
And our old Queen’s sweater too!*
are “late leaves” marijuana? I always wondered what that part meant.
I’d be up for some k-town drinking but it would have to be during the school year 'cause like I said I’m home for the summer.
I’ve never found Queen’s students to be generally cocky… at least individually. I think it’s just that we typically have huge school spirit and so our pride for our school is interpreted as being conceited. And there are a lot of rich kids at Queen’s. Too bad I’m not one of them.
And no kidding nitek, I think it’s cause Queen’s is seen as one of the best University’s in Canada, (if not the whole world, now how is that for conceited?). The fellow who was my unfortunate lab partner in chem first semester was from Singapore, he came to Canada just for Queens.
I managed to go the whole thread without posting that, although I have been itchin’ to. I’m glad someone else did My dad went to Queens ages and ages ago, according to him that is a new addition.
Anyway CuriousCanuck Summer would be great, and y’all should come up here, we can go to the lake & go jet skiing (have a bonfire, go tubing, jump off the rock) I love summer
No, it means that the residence administrators took away your right to be out late from residence - likely past 8 or 9 p.m. Things were a lot more paternalistic at one time. (And no, I’m not so old that I’m speaking from personal experience  )
