Two shakes of a lamb’s tail?
Let’s not bring Hal Briston into it.

Why** Grrr!**?
Interesting… all the quoted bits still show Shakes as the author.
I thought the only leftovers would be places where someone had manually typed in the name of the person they were quoting or replying to.
Quoted posts have always had the original name, ya noob.
I stole it from “Invader Zim” (A cartoon)
I decided to give up Shakes because “Shakes” is a name I associate with my youth. (Shakes was a nick name given to me by my friends because I suffer from an essential tremor.) I’ll be turning 45 next month. They way I see it, I ain’t no spring chicken anymore, so I figured it was time for a name change.
I guess you could call this my “Mid life board crisis”.
Oh, the irony of changing your name because it’s associated to your youth, yet your new name is from a cartoon. (a good one though).
But I can’t blame ya. I’m 42 and still watch cartoons.
Yeah, the irony is not lost on me either.
I keep reading your new name as Grrrl, as in “riot grrrl” punk music.
GIR?
At least he’s not Ignignokt.
But you’re correct; the Invader Zim character is “GIR”. In the spirit of charity, let’s assume Grrr! knows this, but is intentionally riffing on the character name, not attempting to use it literally (and getting it wrong. Because that would be embarrassing.).
Nothing wrong with this.
Not due to your identification with that alcoholic clown?
:smack:
I’m not ashamed to admit that is what I always thought of when I saw his name.
I associated the new name with the Rolling Stones album, although if Wiki is to believed the official title of that is in all caps.
