In my Forum, badchad is a minor player in a tiny number of threads (one-trick pony and all 
) so that he is not really all that disruptive. I do not need to take action against him to prevent Great Debates from going to hell, so I am willing to wait until he attracts the negative attention of the rest of the staff in other Fora.

Tom, I think you’re an outstanding mod, so take this feedback in that context. This whole Caesar’s wife thing can definitely be taken too far. Leaders sometimes take positions that will piss off certain people because it’s the right thing to do. You’re up to that challenge. Don’t let him or others jerk you and the board around like that in the interest of appearing impartial. Pull the trigger next time.

Well, then, I won’t say anything else about Badchad until he returns. But in general, Tom, I would join those encouraging you to act on your convictions. There are at least two kinds of ways to misuse your mod powers. One is to continually warn a member for no good reason. The other is to scrupulously avoid warning a user for no good reason. A mod should not be paralyzed from fear that a member can hold him at bay simply by accusing him of favoritism or such. Do what you think is right.
As I’ve said before, one of the best moderators on this board is Czarcasm. He and I have a long history of contention and conflict. But he has been unfailingly fair in his mod treatment of me, allowing me to express myself unhindered, but citing me for rule bendage when appropriate. He’s an atheist. A hard, badass atheist. And I respect him a great deal.
pseudotriton ruber ruber, I’m glad that you have come clean and admitted your deception regarding your position. I won’t judge your motives for self-promotion, but you have to know that it isn’t a sign of well-being.
I hadn’t really noticed your posts that much to remember them until the ones from recent months. You seem to have surprised some posters with a change in personality. That might be something you would want to examine IRL with a friend or someone in the office where you work.
Just remember that you do not have anonymity from yourself.

I doubt PRR will start one, I cannot see anyone else doing so. I don’t think anyone else perceives **Tom’s ** modding to be poor the way **BC ** & **PRR ** do.
