I played a variation of the ‘guess who I am’ game at a party recently. I thought it was going to be lame, but actually it was a lot of fun. It was a party where two distinct groups of friends merged so a lot of people didn’t know each other. Only about 8 of us, anyhow. So we got a Rizla(cigarette paper), wrote the name of a famous person on it, and stuck it to the forehead of the person next to us without them seeing, and got to ask yes or no questions til we worked out who we were. Names such as Maggie Thatcher, Michael Jackson, George Orwell etc, it really got us talking and laughing.
I like the two words game. Two people need to be in on it to start with.
Person 1: It’s in cook, but not in chef.
Person 2: It’s in cheese, but not in Parmesan.
Person 1: It’s in feet, but not in shoes.
Everyone else has to guess what *it *is, but when they work it out they have to come up with something like the above to let players know that they know.
Also, I like the ‘What would you be if you were…’ game, that’s a good conversation rouser. What painting would you be? Crime? What dessert? And why?
