I dunno about you but I’m fine. Enjoy your squat though. That email account name had been used in spam emails so i deleted it several months ago. May you have better luck than I did.

I just did it to prove the uselessness of your sock proposal, which it did beautifully. The additional amusement was that you still had that deleted email address in your SDMB profile. I had no intentions beyond that and I have absolutely no further interest in it. You can have it back if you want.

You proved nothing except that I needed to update my email address. Yes, anyone can register a yahoo address in any name, how is this news? What’s important is, will they want to and the answer, with a few exceptions is no.

IIRC, Amnesia Weekend coincided with the installation of some new hardware and/or software. Something about a burn-in period where everything was to be sequestered and deleted anyway, so the admins authorized a free-for-all.

Unless and until another occasion comes that calls for a similar sequestered interval, I don’t see any upside for the admins in doing it again.

Right. During the last upgrade (August 2008), the SDMB was taken offline. All posts were made to a temporary board which was not archived. When the regular SDMB came back online, those posts disappeared. It might’ve been fun one time, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to happen again.
