I’m having difficulty find specific software for my business needs and figured this forum would be a great place to ask.
I want to be able to use one piece of software to see a map of my town and than be able to see which buildings are for lease on a map.
Its just flat out annoying using different websites like CL due to people having different formatting. Or going directly to some companies page.
If only I could use google maps to search for buildings that are open for lease and be able to see what square foot and price they have? does a piece of software like this exist it has to!? I don’t think I’m asking for too much am I?:smack:
There are specialized services such as CoStar and LoopNet for commercial leasing. Since you don’t hint at what continent, much less what state, your town is located in, it’s hard for me to be specific.
PadMapper harvests Craigs List entries and puts them on a Google Map for apartments, but I’ve never heard of anything for commercial space. A lot more is negotiable about commercial space, where tenancies last much longer: everything from how many square feet are available to what price is expected to how much buildout allowance they’ll give. That’s why there’s still value in the services offered by a commercial broker.
Hey thanks for the timely reply. I am located in Portland Oregon in the United States. You are right I should of specified.
Take a look at showcase.com.
It looks like it’s powered by CoStar listings, but beware. A lot of those are full of errors, and it’s possible the owners have to make an effort to get their space listed. In other words, it won’t tell you everything that’s out there, possibly not even half of it, and what is listed may be priced rather differently than shown.
