Hey there, step right up! Do you live in a city? Yes? A BIG city? No. Okay, how about a medium city? Well okay then! Do you have a library card? Good for you!
Go to the library. Ask about the inter-library loan system.
I dunnoboutchew chumps, but here in KC the Johnson County and KC library system (forget it’s official name) are strong bastards. They got, between them, nearly every mainstream CD made. UMKC has EVERY SINGLE (not exaggerating, it’s their claim to fame) Blues, Jazz, and ragtime recording ever made in their library. Even if you don’t have a very big library, chances are they have a music catalogue you can look through, and tell the lady what CDs you want, and they will loan you them. They don’t got it? They’ll find a city who does to loan it to you. Broken? Scratched? They’ll get a brand new one to replace it.
So go to your damn library. I know that’s where I’LL be.
