Solving the NY Times Sunday Crossword

I get 100% many times, but I get one or two letters wrong so often, it makes me crazy.
Let the NY Times Sunday Crossword thread begin!

The Sunday Times puzzle usually isn’t that hard. Seriously, it’s much BIGGER than a Wednesday puzzle, and takes more time to solve, but it’s not a lot harder.

The SATURDAY puzzle is the killer! THAT’s the one that I frequently leave unfinished, in utter, abject frustration.

Wordplay aired recently on IFC. I watched it the other night, really nice film. Shortz comes across very well. 1 Across in the final was evil.

I haven’t done a sunday crossword in ages, having been taken over by my eldest. Oh well.

It airs again in the morning of the 26th (Thur).

And here’s a tip: The Monday puzzles are the easiest. They get harder as the week goes by.

I get the Sunday puzzle in the Detroit papers. They can be tough sometimes. When you don’t get the theme quickly you can spin your wheels .

Yeah, I have a hell of a time with the ones where one box holds two letters in the theme answers.
