I love how we have members who have gone through whole epochs of their lives. I remember when the “Doctor” in DoctorJ was brand new, or when Irishgirl would talk about what she was learning in Med school: I remember when Ender started a “So tell me about applying to Law School” thread. It’s just neat to have seen lives progress over time.
And 1784, if anyone is keeping score. My sister, amusingly enough, is a 99er with a post count of 0, and she reads every day. There are serious lurkers out there!
My AOL addiction was horrific. I was calling inside my area code but- dumbly- outside of the local area covered by my tiny boutique phone company. ( Frontier Communications :rolleyes: ).
A phone bill for over 1,200.00 arrived. After a long and heartfelt ( frantic..... ) call to Billing, they reduced it to about 300.00.
Man, until it was cheaper to dial in, AOL was rough. Getting DSL was a boon.
Couldn’t agree more ! 
I’m 2934. Proud to be a 99er, sad not to be in the first 1K.

I have to be in the running for the combo of longest active poster / with the least posts. I see above that JBDivMstr kicks my ass on that one though. That’s OK, there are not a lot of active members with a lower user/member number (157 here).

We joined the same month, we’re within 100 numbers, and we both have under 10K posts.
Plus, we both scrub floors, we’re both swell lookers, and neither one of us is Chinese.
And wouldn’t you know it, apparently there’s someone that kicks my ass, in the longest active/least posts category! 
“There are serious lurkers out there!” Sure 'nuff, I was one of 'em for over 10 years. Finally ‘came out of my shell’.
