Hopefully that should be enough so it doesn’t show in the preview box.

Ok, so I just finished this book and wanted to ask:

  1. What was actually in the sphere?? Was it an alien influence? Was it some kind of radiation that made it possible for people to control their environments? It seems like there wasn’t anything inside, since they were able to open the Sphere in the first place.
  2. Is this even remotely possible or totally fictitious? A great deal of sci-fi is based on reality and moves into the realm of fiction, but this one seems like Crichton pulled it out of his ass and ran with it. This sounds like the old “We only use 10 % of our brains” thing, which I believe has been proven false?
  3. At the end of the novel, did any of the three retain their powers? Or did they *all * voluntarily forget?
  4. If they all forgot, wouldn’t the Navy just pull it up anyway? Why would the Navy ignore it?
  5. And when they do pull it up, what happens next?

As with most Crichton, instead of looking hopelessly for answers, you should just throw the book away and try to convince yourself that you never read it. You’ll be better off in the long run.

Heh, ok, it sure seems that way since no one answered! Anyway, I did already know, see my thread: Michael Crichton Sucks Eggs. But for some reason I thought I’d try again.
