On our news, we only have the “Hot Dog” picking the winners. Cutest little long-haired daschund is let loose to run toward the ‘picks’ in a game (each adorned with a dog treat). Only part of the news I enjoy.

As I was reading the Dope yesterday, I avoided the Game Room after the match started since I was DVRing it at home to watch at night. I saw this thread in MPSIMS, and quickly panicked, thinking someone was about to spoil the result for me. Not connecting “spineless” with Paul the Octopus, while watching the match, I kept waiting for the ref to make a horrible call or miss an obvious penalty or something. Damn you, OP!
While you may have heard that Paul has already selected Spain to beat the Netherlands on Sunday, I have some curious news.
Apparently, there’s a competing psychic animal, with a similarly good record of soccer picks, who’s selected the Netherlands to win on Sunday. Some foul Singaporean parrot by the name of Mani.
Who will prove to be the psychicest animal? My heart’s with Paulie, even if I suspect Mani’s got the more likelier outcome.
