This is pretty much unheard of in our office, I’ve been there five years and this is the first time I’ve ever seen someone fired. Of course they won’t say, but I think it was performance issues although I suspect that it wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for the economy and budget cuts.
It’s got all of us a bit on edge. Not that I’m a bad employee but I can tell ya I’m making sure my work is top notch now!
