One of my son’s friends father passed away yesterday from stomach cancer. I feel really bad for this boy.
A few weeks ago the boy told my son and the group of kids with them that his dad had cancer. The boy is fourteen years old and my son is nine, we’ve never had anyone close to us pass away, so my son has never had to deal with terminal illness or death, when the boy told the kids his dad had cancer, my son asked " Is he going to die ? " he wasn’t trying to be insenstive, he just was trying to understand. The boy answered " I don’t know"
Now, my son feels kind of bad about his remark.
It’s such a sad situation.
