I came in last night after dropping something off for another doper and I smelled something like burning plastic . The kitchen and dining room had something in the air. My mother said that my father must have burned something but I didn’t agree because
a) he denied burning anything
b) the stove and microwave didn’t have any burnt in them.
I asked my mother to sit in the kitchen for a while because I thought the refrigerator was making noise. She said it always made noises. I still had a feeling the noises I heard weren’t normal.
Today she tells me the freezer stopped working, and the refrigerator side is getting warm.
it seems the cold air in the freezer is used to cool the fridge side. The unit is 2 years old and although we have a service contract they can’t see us until the 14th.
There is a freezer in the garage so most of the frozen foods are safe but the fridge won’t fare as well.
