Sometimes The Onion just nails it

THIS.

OK, then, so what do you think of “these parts”?

Very heavy-handed. I wouldn’t even call it satire.

Heavy-handed? How should such ignorance and stupidity be called out? With a gentle PC touch? There are ignoramuses who spout such shit every day, in real life, at teabagging parties and Facebook and elsewhere. And it’s not a joke to them!

I thought it was hilarious.

I was amused, and particularly liked the part about the daughter.

I think it makes a good point, which is that people do tend to use the constitution for all sorts of things.

Depends on the venue. On the Onion, I would expect a little wit and subtlety, and I saw none here. But if it worked for you, that’s nice.

It’s amazing how the Onion collected the emails and thanksgiving conversations of my relatives and bundled them into an article.

I am in Tennessee, and I would not tear you to pieces for showing me that.

Admittedly I might tear you to pieces for OTHER reasons, but really it would depend on your opinion of my chicken casserole.

By “chicken”, I take it you mean “buzzard”.:dubious:;)

The truthiest Onion piece ever, to my reckoning, concerned its 1997 Man of the Year: The Man.

The usual feckless threats.

I knew it. But that’s obviously because I’m a charter member and you are not.
