Somewhere, Chuck Jones and Mel Blanc Are Smiling!

Okay, who just bought the patches off eBay???

Need…patches…too…cool…

Just scored one of each on Ebay! Woohoo!

How can you give a musical show about Looney Tunes a good review without even mentioning Carl Stalling and/or Milt Franklyn (and to a lesser extent, early Bill Lava)? If it weren’t for them, the show would consist of an orchestra doing nothing while cartoons played.

About DVDs-Warner Bros. is apparently prepping their cartoons for a DVD release later this year. Everything is hush-hush, although Jerry Beck mentioned November in an interview (he later stated he shouldn’t have).

I agree with you **Arden Ranger. ** And remember, Daffy is Mr. Garibaldi’s second favorite thing in the whole universe!

(I wanna participate with him in what I guess his *favorite * thing is!)

Just scored both patches off eBay, too! Woohoo!

Thanks for the tip-off, BTW Tucker. Probably wouldn’t have even heard about this til it was too late without all y’all wonderful looney-toon lovin’ folks.

Can’t wait for the whole crop on DVD. Maybe they’ll even swallow their pride and release some of the stuff that’s no longer “fit for tv” due to racist, etc… themes and whatnot. Not that I go in for that kinda thing, but from what I’ve heard, the ones they won’t show on tv rank among the funniest every made. Oh well.

See, this is what happens when you leave these decisions to those of us in our 30s, 40s and 50s.

Too cool.

I haven’t found the information for it on the internet - they put out a series of cheap but high quality comedy records, etc. Here are the details for the Mel Blanc one:

Others in the series - Groucho Marx; The Marx Brothers; Burns and Allen; WC Fields; Jimmy Durante; Laurel and Hardy; Abbot and Costello; Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. If you find out about other comedy titles, please let me know

Good luck finding them.

Heh. And to think that I had doubts about posting this thread. Ya know, I think that if NASA would do more stuff like this, fewer folks would question the value of the space program.
