I can’t listen to The Seekers’ Far Shore without tearing up. Judith Durham has one of the most amazing voices ever. :o

Thanks for posting, beautiful song!
Here’s Mary Hopkin, with “Goodbye”, written by Paul McCartney. At some points in the video he’s visible singing backup
Though the latter isn’t so much about saying goodbye as it is about gettin’ the hell out of Dodge without saying goodbye.
One that I’m surprised nobody has posted yet:
That tune has a wonderful message/perspective for a breakup. I don’t dig Tom’s version (IMHO too slick on the production/arrangement) as much as some of the covers I’ve heard. e.g. this (live) one from Blackberry Smoke.
Seems like it would be easier to compile the list of great songs that aren’t about saying goodbye.
Add to the list:
The Parting Glass (traditional or Bob Dylan version, Restless Farewell)
For No One (Beatles)
Boots of Spanish Leather (Dylan)
Shiver Me Timbers (Tom Waits)

Nice. My favorite version is from Nina Simone’s Live Cover, rediscovered by a lot of people including myself when it was featured prominently in the movie The Dancer Upstairs.
“Why does she talk so much?”
“She’s preparing to sing.”
In this vein, Warren Zevon’s Keep Me In Your Heart. It’s a beautiful song but I still can’t listen to it. It’s been a while and I thought I’d listen to it all the way through right now but nope.
A fantastic submission to the list; one of my favorites. My old man hooked me on the Charlie Rich version, but Danny sings it like he means it. And his arrangement supports the soulful vibe of the song.
