Song Titles that don't Appear in the Lyrics

Possum Kingdom- The Toadies

Technically the title doesn’t appear as a phrase in the lyrics, but both words appear separately.

It’s both! On the Nimrod album it’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” Cite
On the single it’s “Time of Your Life (Good Riddance)” Cite (look at the picture)

As to the OP: In the Green Day song “Longview” or “Long View” (They’re very inconsistent in things like this), I don’t think the title is ever a lyric.

Also, “Won’t Get Fooled Again”. (The chorus actually says, “we don’t get fooled again.”)

Does “N.W.O.” by Ministry count?

See #18 on the original list.

A few by Pink Floyd

Brain Damage
Run Like Hell
Young Lust
In the Flesh
Sheep

A couple by Richard Thompson:

King of Bohemia
Sloth
Outside of the Inside

New York Mining Disaster 1941 – Bee Gees (“Have you seen my wife, Mr. Jones?”)
**A Song of Patriotic Prejudice[/b – Flanders and Swann (“The English, the English, the English are best/I wouldn’t give tuppence for all of the rest.”)
Ill Wind – Flanders and Swann
Hymn 43 – Jethro Tull
Wind Up – Jethro Tull
Summer '68 – Pink Floyd

“He’s not the kind you have to wind up on Sundays.” Perhaps you were thinking of “Cheap Day Return”?

Tomorrow Never Knows, The Beatles (“Turn off your mind…”)

Which makes me think of the Spin Doctors “Jimmy Olsen’s Blues”

And if the actual title is “untitled”…?

Anyway, some Tom Lehrer songs have actual titles –
“The Elements”
“MLF Lullaby”
“The Derivative Song”
“The Hunting Song”
“The Irish Ballad”
“The Professor’s Song”
