(I’m) Just a Gigolo
If I Can’t Sell It I’ll Keep Sittin’ On It (Before I’ll Give It Away) – Ruth Brown
“Factory Girl” by The Pretty Reckless:
“I am a factory girl, won’t you pardon me?
See I can make my whole world in a backseat
Lost point, want a joint, show me how to treat a john
Someone save me, save me from what I’m on”
Not a song.
Please explain.
How is Rich Man’s Frug (or several of the other songs, but that especially) about prostitution?
Blackbird was inspired by the civil rights movement of the day.
Lying Eyes is about a goldigger, which is not the same as a prostitute.
That is really stretching it.
Hey Hey What Can I do - Led Zeppelin
“I walk to town, keep searchin’ all around. Lookin’ for my street corner girl.”
What about Joni Mitchell’s Raised on Robbery? the lyrics never explicitly state she is a hooker, maybe she’s just a floozy out to get laid. But it is strongly implied, she’s looking to get some money out of the deal (and that apparently she doesn’t get it.)

String of Pearls by Soul Asylum, though the woman in question only appears at the beginning and end of the lyrics.
“Tecumseh Valley” Townes Van Zandt
(“So she turned to whorin’ out on the streets/With all the lust inside her”)
Maggie M’Gill - The Doors
Wrong Way - Sublime

You Don’t Have to be a Prostitute - The Flight of the Conchords

Nitpick: That’s Tim Rice’s lyrics to Lloyd Webber’s music. “Strange Thing Mysterfying”
also qualifies:
Yes, I can understand that she amuses,
But to let her kiss you, stroke your hair, that’s hardly in your line.
It’s not that I object to her profession,
But she doesn’t fit in well with what you teach and say.
It doesn’t help us if you’re inconsistent.
hey only need a small excuse to put us all away.
Rene by Small Faces
“Queen of the Silver Dollar” by Emmylou Harris.
Doesn’t fit at all. She’s talking about a chair.
