Every piece in Fantasia is tied to that movie in my mind. Even the Nutcracker Suite, I don’t think Christmas, I think dancing mushrooms.

Ride of the Valkyries is either Elmer Fudd (“kill the wabbit, kill the wabbit”) or Apocalypse Now.

The opening bars of The Cars’ Moving In Stereo will always be tied to Phoebe Cates emerging from the pool in slow motion and then… (Fast Times at Ridgemont High)… From the same movie, Led Zeppelin’s *Kashmir *, although I mainly associate it with the Led Zeppelin IV/Physical Graffiti error.

I was at an orchestra concert a while back, and nearly had to leave to keep from cracking up during the Barber of Seville. All I can think of is Bugs and Elmer chasing each other with increasingly large weapons.

That wasn’t Frankie Valli, that was The Righteous Brothers. “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” with dialogue to that effect beforehand.

Maverick: I don’t know, I think she’s lost that lovin’ feelin’.
Goose: She has? No she hasn’t. Has she?
Maverick: Yeah, she has.

Then he grabs a conveniently placed microphone and sings the first verse, and all the aviators in the bar sing along with the chorus, especially the do-dodo-dodo-dodododododo part.

I haven’t seen that film in at least a decade but I remember that with weird vividness.
