SonOfArizona is an idiot (as are all people who smoke their 1st cig)

So go the fuck away and ruin another thread, your work here is done.

I STARTED this thread beeeyatch…

…how can I ruin it if I started it?

Easy.

By “yanking peoples chains”.

Just because you started the thread, doesn’t mean you’re allowed to be a jerk.

It’s not a matter of “lightening up”. And it’s doesn’t matter which forum you’re in, acting like a creature that lives under the bridge is against the rules of the board, not any particular forum.

Nice try though.

Easily, it was a stupid thread to begin with.

If I was you, I would shut my mouth and beg a mod to close this thread, it deserves nothing less.

Interesting stuff, but I think that also takes into account that cigarettes are readily available, socially acceptable (in relation to heroin) and i’d be the first to admit they are a bastard to quit. But it still strikes me as a bit of anti smoking propaganda - I can tell you with absolute certainty that cigarettes are not more addictive than crack in the short term and certainley not more addictive than heroin in the long term.

quote from lurksfromwork
I did a period of banging smack up my arm along with partaking in a shitload of other drugs along time ago (about 10 years), the only sucker that I haven’t kicked is the smokes.
Lets face it though, along with the horrific withdrawel (whick I know you went through) and the fact that its not available in almost every shop, bar etc along with the fact that you don’t walk into bars and restaraunts to see people cooking up shots and that heroin use is frowned upon by almost everyone (even most users of other drugs) then this is a factor in how much easier it is to kick is it not? I know these are all factors which when applied in reverse are exactley what make nicotine so addictive, but I still think it gives a slightly distorted view of nicotines addictive properties. It took me a long, long time of smoking ciggarettes before I would consider myself addicted (about 2 years) on the other hand it took me just over a month before I was hooked on crack and smack. But bare in mind that now, like you, all i’m addicted to is nicotine and i’m not giving that up yet, I still need a crutch and at least this one won’t make me feel like i’m going to die if I don’t have it.

Anti-smoking nazis? I just want smokers to keep their disgusting smoke away from my home, away from any public building I might visit (offices, restaurants, shops, etc.), out of any public conveyance I might ride on, and out of my path of travel. I also don’t want smokers or the tobacco companies to advertise in any place where my children might see it or promoting their products by “placing” them in works of popular culture. Barring that, I don’t care what they do. Does that make me a nazi?

SIEG HEIL!

Well, then, hand over the brown shirt, because I’m sticking to it.
