Apparently some prototype. Not sure what model or how it works, but it sure looks neat.

In looking at the picture again, it’s not a transparent LCD TV (which would be something) . It’s just some sort of projection unit.
It looks neat, but the technology is apparently just a clever application of existing stuff.
It looks to be just a back projection TV. (Look in the picture behind the slab; there’s a projector back against the wall.) I’m guessing there’s a layer of polarized film sandwiched inside the slab that is oriented to refract the projection beam into an image. Cool looking, but not really revolutionary.
When they can project a holographic, full sensory program around me while I’m zipping home in my flying car at 500mph, I’ll be seriously impressed.

Due to the projector, the TV would have to be several feet off the wall. I guess you could put the projector on the front side. Either way, it’s just a projection screen mounted in glass.
Random question here – the page itself took a little while to load, so I was left staring at the background for a while. Is it dark blue, or purple?
If they don’t have autopilot you’ll be seriously compressed, too.
It’s #6600FF, that is in the blue family.
