soul meets soul on lovers' lips - a kissable MMP

can we drawn in the eating room? and what if the furniture’s feet get cold?

Then we use socks, not shoes. Duh.
I am sorry to hear of your loss, SO.

Off to work now. Next week, I get to work the early shift–0530. Joy (but then I get out at 2pm). I need money. Does anyone have seeds from their money tree they’d be happy to share with me?
It turned cold here yesterday–I think it’s lovely. Today is all misty and spooky outside (we don’t get much mist or fog). I don’t care that people say fog is just a low lying cloud–to me it’s spooky and eerie etc. Bitch to drive in, though…

Thank you everyone for your kind words – they are all very much appreciated.

Tigs, Nava got the story right so I’m not going to re-recap.

Best you can do to get me in a good mood is stop devoting post after post to me and start laughing and flirting again  I’m all ready to jump back into the fray and resume normal life, I think.

Fresca is not for the lustless. Original blend or with added flavor? I favor the the peach lately.

I’ll take one for the team…

How you doin’?

::yaaaAAAWWWNNnnn::

I’m up, I’m up. Caffeinating has commenced. Thankfully the humidity has decided to behave itself so it wasn’t so bad last night. Rather cool this morning too, but in a good way, especially after the last few days. Watched the series premiere of The Bionic Woman remake last night. I have to admit it was kinda good. Different – way different than the original series. At the very least, rapid motion isn’t oxymoronically depicted in slomo in this one. I guess we’ll see if it goes anywhere or stays interesting; I liked Lost when it premiered too, but once it started dragging on and turning all soap operaish, I lost interest.

I brought some waikiki balls for lunch today, too. (The MIL made a metric crapload of them, so they’ve gotta be used up.)

Special1 - I am sorry for your loss. I can see how there’s an element of relief there tough; sometimes the anticipation can be worse than that which is anticipated. When it is finally over you can at least let go of the stress and worry and finally deal. And if you feel dealing requires the inappropriate attention of others – well, here’s a room key. 304, down the hall on your left. Please try to keep the furniture in one piece.

Okay, off to engage in some breafastation[sup]*[/sup]. (A corn muffin.)

[sub]* Yes, breakfastation. This is my new word. If you don’t like it, then let’s see if you can verbiate any better.[/sub]

SO you and your people are in my thoughts.

I’m a-workin like a dog and it’s barely 8 something AM. This is all wrong, I tell ya.

Nice try, but you are sooooo the wrong gender, dude…!

That’s why it’s called comedy. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hm… Mom has these “money plants” which, while they do not grow money, are supposed to attract it. But you must get them as a gift or steal them. Think a branch would survive a trip over the pond?

She’s never been able to find out whether getting that plant as a gift brings you honest work and stealing it turns you into a succesful bank robber.

What, Lunch, no more flirting with Da Bear for you?

Well, I’m not sure. But he isn’t around right now anyway. Now, if you want to substitute for him…

I don’t think I’m burly enough to sub properly for him… no aprons, either.

Guess I should go buy an apron.

Good morning, all! ::Nod’s in acknowledgement to Spec1:: TGIT or something like that?

I didn’t end up watching the Bionic Woman last night. I looked for it at 8:00, couldn’t find it, gave up and watched something else. Anybody see it? Tonight is season’s premier of Earl and Office and I WILL be front and center.

fcm, fcdad feeling any better today? rigs and I must have gone to the same “old school” because standing up straight was exactly my thought when you were describing your new acquaintance. You somehow just want to be on your best behavior around them.

gotti, hope you are feeling better as well.

So last night the pool company rep came by to look at the finished product and took some pics to put on their web site. Back story on the pool pictures is that idiot CVS clerk who processed the film I brought in failed to transfer the request for a CD that I had checked off on the envelope. I had even told him personally that I only wanted one CD for the three packs of film I dropped off. Anyhoo, Mr. Anachi is going to try to scan the prints. Sooooo, whichever happens first, I will post some pics.

Tupug

Nah, I’m the one who should be burly if you’re subbing for him
So, you go get an apron, I’ll hit the gym, and we’ll meet later? Your place or mine?

My place is currently in a state of shift, now let me decide whether that’s a good or bad thing…

Generally yes, although this week today is a holiday anyway so I wouldn’t have been at work in any case.
But yep, my Thursday is usually everybody else’s Friday… and when it starts some people are still trying to get rid of the last vestiges of Wednesday…

Morning, all. I’m up and caffeinating. I have been for a while, to no noticeable effect. I couldn’t get to sleep until really late last night, but I still got nothing done – I just sat here at my computer and watched mindless TV and played mindless games, trying to make myself sleepy. Didn’t work. :frowning: But I do have a busy day in front of me, or at least if I do what I’m supposed to I will, so I guess I have to function whether I want to or not.

I have absolutely nothing of interest to report this morning, so I shall leave you to the flirting and go get something constructive done. Or something.

Morning, everyone. I should have been up and working a lot earlier, but it was a perfect lie-in-bed morning. It’s cold again! Yay!
Mr. Lissar came by work to pick me up, and got to hear Complaining Whiny Co-Worker at his finest. Co-Worker had just had to run back to work, while smoking, and so he was all out of breath and unhappy because he was late and he had to finish his cigarette and he has to work until ten! and he has to get up by six tomorrow and it’s unfair!

Mr. Lissar was very impressed by his ability to complain for several minutes without drawing breath.
Time to run around doing stuff. I have hundreds of little household things to do before work.

You’re in a shift? Sounds all right to me!

Morning, everyone!

:: acknowledges the relief that accompanies the end of suffering… it was like that when my sister and mom died, too ::

I’m settling in here at work. Og, it was an unpleasant day yesterday, one of those days when everything was a bit… off.

I left work at 16:30 to go see my counselor. I thought it would be nice to get downtown early and stop for a burger. I hopped on the #82 bus near my work; the bus made its rounds of the office park, then headed onto the freeway to go into the city. I fell asleep, as I often do on the way home.

I awoke as the bus slowed down. It came gradually to a halt on the side of the road. We were still on the freeway, just south of the airport. The bus had broken down.

We sat there on the side of the road for forty minutes, the bus rocking as eighteen-wheelers passed it a metre distant at 100 km/h. The lady behind me was talking to her friend on the following #82 bus… which soon appeared and passed us. Evidently it was full–it was the 17:00 departure, which I dislike taking because it’s always overcrowded.

Eventually another bus arrived, a #70 pausing from its normal run, and the two drivers and a visiting supervisor conducted us from one to the other. We squeezed along the edge of the road next to the concrete barrier and entered the new bus through its rear-most doors.

We were soon on the way. just in time to enter the regular 5PM traffic jams where the eastbound ramp from the 401 entered the southbound 427. We made it through that with the usual delay, only to discover more flashing lights and sirens.

A collision had blocked the southbound express lanes, and clouds of whitish steam or smoke drifted across the freeway. We joined the jam of traffic that was slowly exiting onto Burnhamthorpe Road, and eventuially made our way to the Islington subway, our destination. Time? 18:06.

We were around 45 minutes late. There went my chance to pause and get food. I had just enough tme to get to my appointment, uptown near Yonge and Eglinton after two subway rides.
